Spirit of Columbus Half Marathon
Columbus, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Perry Township and Grandview --- 8/29
The 3rd Annual Spirit of Columbus Half Marathon will take place Sunday (8/29) in Columbus, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Perry Township and Grandview Heights. The race is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. from the east side of Tuttle Mall. Motorists should expect delays along the following route:
Start at Tuttle Mall
Northeast on Bradenton Avenue to Frantz Road
North on Frantz Road to Rings Road
East on Rings Road to Dublin Road
South on Dublin Road to Frantz Road
South on Frantz Road to Hayden Road
East on Hayden Road to Riverside Drive (US 33)
South on Riverside Drive to the Griggs Park entrance at Lane Road
South inside the park to the exit by Griggs Dam, then east to exit onto Riverside Drive (US 33)
South on Riverside Drive (US 33) to Neil Avenue for the finish.
The runners on US 33 will be using the south lanes of the roadway until they enter Griggs Park. When they exit Griggs Park they will be using only the right lane of the southbound lanes till they reach Hocking Street. From Hocking to Neil they will have all of the lanes.
US 33 / Long Street will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 5 a.m. Sunday (8/29). Traffic will be rerouted north on Hocking Street to east on Nationwide Boulevard. Westbound Spring Street traffic will remain open.
Motorist should watch carefully for pedestrians and expect some delays and re-routes on US 33 between Hayden Run Road and Lane Road.
Special Duty Officers from several different jurisdictions will be directing traffic on the Half Marathon course. (City of Columbus)

Central Ohio Heart Walk
Arena District --- 8/28
The Central Ohio Heart Walk will take place Saturday (8/28) in and around the Arena District. The 5K and the 1 Mile Walk will begin at 9 a.m. from the intersection of Neil Avenue and Nationwide Boulevard. Motorists should use caution in the area due to increased pedestrian traffic and expect delays along the following routes:
5K
Begin at Nationwide Boulevard and Neil Avenue
North on Neil Avenue to Third Avenue
East on Third Avenue/Starr Avenue to High Street
South on High Street to Nationwide Boulevard
West on Nationwide Boulevard to Hanover Street
North on Hanover Street into Huntington Park to the finish at home plate.
1 Mile Walk
Begin at Nationwide Boulevard and Neil Avenue
North on Neil Avenue to Vine Street
East on Vine Street to Front Street
South on Front Street to Nationwide Boulevard
West on Nationwide Boulevard to Hanover Street
North on Hanover Street into Huntington Park to the finish at home plate.
Note: Traffic will be affected as noted below in addition to the above.
High Street southbound at Fifth Ave. will be rerouted
Neil Ave. northbound from Spring Street will be rerouted
Special Duty Columbus Police Officers will be directing traffic on the walk route.
Motorist might expect some delays if they are on the walk route, especially if going in the same direction as the walkers. (City of Columbus)

Lincoln Theater (East Long Street) --- 9/4/10
Paving the Way encourages you to particpiate in Bike the C-Bus this Sepember 4. Motorists should be alert for cyclists on the roads at all times and especially during this event (Sat 9/4) along the route which includes: The King-Lincoln District, Downtown, German Village, the Brewery District, the Arena District, Franklinton, the Hilltop, the Short North, Campus, Clintonville and other Columbus neighborhoods.

Pedal Instead! Leave your car at home when you come to a downtown festival! The City of Columbus hosts a FREE bike corral at selected events!
A bike corral is available at OSU Home Football Games. The corral is located along the Olentangy Trail, just south of Woody Hayes Drive. There is no charge for this service. The University Area Enrichment Association and COBAC will be providing volunteers.
